A trip I’ve been really looking forward to is a self-driving car trip along the coastline. If possible, l’ d love to go with one or two close friends who enjoy traveling at a relaxed pace.
The place I want to visit is a coastal city, such as Dali or somewhere along the southern coast, where the scenery is open and peaceful. Driving along the seaside road, with the ocean on one side and the sky stretching endlessly on the other, sounds incredibly appealing to me.
Ideally, l’ d like to go during a long holiday or in early autumn, when the weather is mild, and the roads are less crowded. That way, we wouldn’ t feel rushed and could stop whenever we want to enjoy the view or take photos.
I prefer going by car primarily because it offers freedom and flexibility. We wouldn’t have to stick to a fixed schedule or depend on public transport. It would also make the journey itself part of the experience, rather than just a means of transportation. For me, a road trip like this is a perfect chance to unwind and escape from daily routines.

I’d like to talk about a bicycle trip l’m planning to take next month to a mountain area about three hours from my city. I want to go with my parents, because for the past two years, we’ ve made it a habit to cycle to a local country park every weekend, and those rides have made us fall in love with exploring nature on two wheels.
The mountain area is famous for its dense forests, crystal-clear streams, and rich wildlife-last time we cycled to the country park, we spotted red squirrels and wild hares, which sparked my curiosity to see more animals like deer or even rare birds in the mountains.
I want to go in early spring, when the wildflowers are in full bloom and the weather is mild, so we can take our time cycling along the winding paths, stopping to take photos and listen to the birds.
The reason I want to go by bicycle is that it lets us slow down and really immerse ourselves in nature-we can stop whenever we want to watch animals or admire the views, without the noise or rush of a car. It’s also a great way to stay active and bond with my parents, and l’ m hoping to bring my wildlife guidebook along to learn more about the plants and animals we see.

1. Why do more people own and drive private cars now?
More people own private vehicles now because they offer convenience, comfort, and flexibility. As incomes rise and cities expand, commuting distances become longer, and public transport may not cover every route efficiently. Private cars also fit family needs, such as travelling with children, carrying groceries, or visiting elderly relatives. For example, if someone lives in the suburbs, driving can save a lot of time compared with multiple transfers on public transport, especially during bad weather.
2. What do you think of the future of electric cars?
I’m optimistic about the future of electric cars, and I think they will become even more common. They can reduce tailpipe emissions and are often cheaper to run, especially for daily commuting. Governments and companies are also investing heavily in charging networks and battery technology.
However, there are still challenges, such as charging convenience, range anxiety, and battery recycling. For example, electric cars work well for city commuters, but wider adoption depends on faster charging, better infrastructure, and more sustainable battery systems.
3. Which form of vehicle is more popular in your country, bikes, cars or motorcycles?
In China, I’d say cars are becoming the most popular, especially in cities and among middle-class families.
Bikes are also common, but many people use shared bikes mainly for short distances.
As for motorcycles, they’re less popular in big cities because of traffic regulations, but in smaller towns or rural areas, motorcycles are still widely used because they’re affordable and flexible.
4. Do you think air pollution comes mostly from mobile vehicles?
Vehicles are definitely a major source of air pollution, especially in large cities where traffic is heavy.
Exhaust emissions contribute a lot to smog and poor air quality.
However, I don’t think vehicles are the only cause.
Factories, construction sites 2fr Ift, and coal-powered energy production also play a huge role.
So overall, cars are an important factor, but industrial pollution is also a big contributor.
5. Do you think people need to change the way of transportation drastically to protect the environment?
Yes, I think some changes are necessary, but they don’t have to be extreme overnight.
People could gradually shift to public transport, cycling, or electric vehicles.
Governments can also help by improving metro systems and building more bike lanes.
If transportation becomes more convenient and affordable, people will naturally reduce their dependence on private cars, which would benefit the environment in the long run.
6. How are the transportation systems in urban areas and rural areas different?
The biggest difference is convenience and variety.
In urban areas, public transport is usually well-developed, including buses, subways, and taxis.
People have many options and can travel easily without owning a car.
In rural areas, transportation is often limited, with fewer bus routes and longer waiting times.
As a result, people in the countryside rely more on private cars, motorcycles, or even electric scooters.
