IELTS Speaking Part 1 Topic Life stages
Sample Answer 1
1. Do you enjoy being the age you are now?
Yes, absolutely. I genuinely appreciate every stage of life because each phase
comes with its own unique missions and opportunities. What matters most is to
live in the present, to seize the day and truly savor each moment. That way you can look back without regret.
2. What did you often do with your friends in your childhood?
My childhood was quite simple in a beautiful way. I mostly enjoyed hanging out with
my friends, sharing our thoughts about music and TV shows. No matter what we
did, it was really about the pure joy and laughter we shared
3. What do you think is the most important at the moment?
For me, the most important things right now are health, love, and a sense of purpose. These align with what Maslow’s hierarchy of needs suggests as
fundamental for well-being. When these are in place, I feel grounded and motivated to pursue more meaningful goals.
4. Do you have any plans for the next five years?
I don’t have a rigid step-by-step plan, but I do have a clear direction to prioritize happiness and personal growth. I intend to follow my heart and pursue what truly matters to me as long as it doesn’t negatively affect others while staying open to new opportunities.
5. How do people remember each stage of their lives?
With technology today, people have creative ways to preserve memories. Many capture moments through photos or videos and compile them into digital albums or vlogs. Others document life milestones on social media. Some still prefer traditional ways like keeping a journal or collecting keepsakes.
6. At what age do you think people are the happiest?
I’d say people in their 20s often experience a special kind of happiness. At that age, they usually enjoy greater freedom and independence along with a manageable income after starting their careers. They have ample time and opportunities to explore their ambitions without as much pressure or fear of opportunity
