He is Fan Zhendong, a top Chinese table tennis player and the 2024 Paris Olympics double gold medalist. He’ s the third Chinese athlete to win the
table tennis Super Grand Slam, with many career titles. He’s renowned worldwide for his superb skills and extraordinary mental toughness on the court.
2. How you knew him/her
I first knew him as a kid when watching table tennis matches with my dad, and I focused on him at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Sample Answer 2
The famous person l’ d most like to meet is Taylor Swift, a world-famous American singer and songwriter. She’s a household name globally for her amazing pop and country music and meaningful lyrics.
I first knew her when I was a teenager. I heard her song Love Story on the radio by accident, and then I fell in love with her music. Her songs with touching stories always make me feel warm and powerful.
If I had a chance, l’ d love to meet her backstage at her concert. I want to talk with her for a while, and see how she prepares for her performances and interacts with her team.
I admire her for three reasons. First, she’s extremely talented at writing songs and singing,
and her music styles keep changing and improving. Second, her lyrics are full of true feelings and life stories, which can always touch people’ s hearts. Finally, she’ s a brave and independent woman who always sticks to her own ideas and encourages girls to be confident.
Meeting her would be a dream come true. It’ s not just meeting an idol, but also a precious chance to learn her spirit of courage and persistence.
Sample Answer 3
If I could meet one famous person, l’d choose G-Dragon-but not in a concert or backstage situation. I imagine meeting him somewhere very random, like a café, where no one’s screaming and everyone’s just pretending to be normal.
I first knew him when I was younger, through his music, but honestly, at the beginning I didn’t fully get him. His style felt a bit too bold, and I remember thinking, “Is this guy okay?” But the more I watched his interviews and performances, the more curious I became. He didn’t seem interested in being liked all the time, which felt rare.
Over the years, I realised he’s not just an idol-he’s someone who constantly reinvents himself. Sometimes he disappears, sometimes he comes back with something completely unexpected. That unpredictability made me respect him, because it’s risky to stay different when the whole world is watching.
If I ever met him, I wouldn’t ask for a photo. I’d probably ask something very un-glamorous, like how he deals with creative blocks and pressure. I want to know how someone survives that level of attention without losing their mind. For me, meeting him isn’t about fandom-it’s about learning how to stay yourself in a noisy world.
Part 3
1. What are the advantages and disadvantages of being a famous child?
Being a famous child is a mixed bag. On the bright side, they get money, resources, and opportunities way earlier than others. But the downside is heavy-no privacy, no normal childhood, and a lot of pressure to stay “perfect.” Adults call it success, but for kids, it often feels like overtime life.
2. What can today’s children do to become famous?
These days, fame doesn’t require talent first-it requires visibility. Some kids get famous by showing skills like singing or sports, while others just share daily life online. The real key is consistency. Do something often enough, and the internet will eventually notice, whether it’s impressive or just relatable.
3. What can children do with their fame?
It depends on who’s guiding them. Some children turn fame into learning opportunities, like training or education. Others are pushed to make money as fast as possible. Fame itself is neutral—it can become a tool or a trap. For kids, the adults around them decide which one it is.
4. Do people become famous because of their talent?
Talent helps, but it’s not the whole story. Some people are famous because they’re excellent, others because they’re lucky or well-marketed. In reality, fame usually sits at the intersection of ability, timing, and exposure. Talent opens the door, but attention decides who walks through.
5. Is it easy to become famous in your country?
I would say it’s easier than before, mainly because of the internet and social media. Anyone can upload content and potentially attract attention.
However, becoming truly famous and maintaining that popularity is still quite difficult.
There’s a lot of competition, and audiences quickly lose interest.
So while short-term fame might be easy, long-term recognition requires real ability and consistency.
6. Do you want to be a famous person?
To be honest, not really.
Being famous might bring wealth and recognition, but it also comes with pressure and loss of privacy.
I prefer living a relatively peaceful and low-profile life.
Of course, I would like to be successful and respected in my field, but I don’t necessarily want to be widely known by the public.
For me, personal happiness is more important than fame.
