Sample Answer 1
This is a rather difficult topic for me, I have to admit, since it’s really not my professional field, and I literally know nothing about the exact process or details about establishing a law and introducing it to our legal system in China. But in my humble opinion, I guess law related to same-sex marriage, also known as gay marriage, is quite important in China.
The first time I had this thought was about several years ago, when I read a report saying that a woman got divorced with her husband because she said she was cheated into this marriage. And the thing was that her husband hid his own sexual orientation before their marriage, and she wasn’t being completely honest. So she got divorced because, you know, it’s just like a scam.
At that moment, I thought it was so unfair for this girl, for this woman. But later I also thought about how could gay couples, they could find their place and live together legally in China as a Chinese citizen, you see. So introducing this law to China is rather pressing at the moment.
Admittedly, there are going to be so many difficulties and obstacles during the whole process of establishing it and perfecting this legal system related to marriage law. And those policy makers, of course, they’re going to deal with so many situations during the whole process.
I still hold a quite positive attitude towards it since internationally and globally, a lot of countries and regions, they gradually approved gay marriage. And even some regions and countries in Asia, they also passed this law. So I guess hopefully in the near future, this law could be introduced to protect the right for homosexual as well as the heterosexual groups.

Sample Answer 2
I would like to introduce a river protection law which can reduce water pollution and preserve the local ecosystem.
I have this idea because some factories are discharging untreated wastewater into rivers, while many residents litter near the riverbanks without realizing the environmental consequences. If the law is passed and enforced, it will certainly bring a lot of changes. For example, the law will limit fishing activities in certain areas, and people who break the rules can be fined.
More importantly, it bans factories from discharging wastewater into rivers without proper treatment. I believe this law will be strongly supported by the public because it brings benefits in many ways. For example, we can enjoy safer water resources for daily life.
Also, the riverside environment will become much more pleasant than before. Many people can go there for walking, camping, jogging, or simply relaxing in nature during their spare time. I believe laws like this are necessary because environmental protection should not only rely on individual awareness. Strong regulations and strict enforcement are equally important.

Sample Answer 3
The new law I would like to introduce in my country is a two-day weekend. This law aims to ensure that all citizens have a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle.
Firstly, the law would stipulate a maximum number of working hours per week, ensuring that employees have sufficient time to rest and relax. This would help reduce stress levels and improve overall happiness.
Secondly, the law would mandate that employers provide flexible working options, such as remote working.or flexible working hours.
This would allow employees to better manage their time and responsibilities, both at work and at home.
I believe this law is important because work-life balance is crucial for maintaining good mental and physical health. By introducing this law, we can create a society where people are not constantly overworked and stressed, but instead have the opportunity to enjoy a fulfilling life both at work and in their personal lives. This would lead to improved productivity, creativity, and overall happiness, beneficial not only for individuals but also for society as a whole.
Sample Answer 3
I would like to introduce a new environmental law in my country aimed at significantly reducing single-use plastics. This law would mandate that all food and beverage retailers switch from single-use plastic items to biodegradable or reusable alternatives. It would cover items such as plastic straws, cups, plates, and utensils, which are major contributors to pollution and pose a serious threat to marine life.
The primary change this law brings is a substantial decrease in plastic waste, which is crucial for improving our environmental footprint. Retailers would be required to implement this change over a two-year transition period, allowing them time to deplete existing stocks and find suitable alternatives. Additionally, the law would provide incentives for businesses that adopt eco-friendly practices ahead of schedule, such as tax breaks or public recognition programs.
While this new law might face initial resistance from businesses due to the potential increase in costs, I believe it would gain popularity among the general public, especially among younger generations who are increasingly conscious of environmental issues. Public campaigns and educational programs would be crucial in garnering support, highlighting the long-term environmental benefits and the global movement towards sustainability.
The idea for this law came from seeing the successful implementation of similar policies in other countries and reading about the dramatic improvements in their local environments. This inspired me to think about how such a law could benefit my own country’s ecosystem.
I feel very positive about this new law. It represents a proactive step towards a more sustainable future and aligns with global efforts to tackle pollution. By reducing our reliance on single-use plastics, we not only help protect the environment but also promote a culture of sustainability and responsibility that can lead to even more innovative environmental solutions.
