1. Are you good at telling jokes?
Answer 1:
Yes, I’d say I’m pretty good at it. I’ve always been the life of the party. I was born with a good sense of humour and the ability to know how to read the room.
When I hit the punchline, people often burst out laughing. It makes me happy to see others smile, so I enjoy being the funny one among my friends.
Answer 2:
Not really, to be honest. I’m not gonna make up my own jokes or sharing popular internet jokes. I’m better at laughing at other people’s jokes than at trying to be the funny one myself.
2. Do your friends like to tell jokes?
Yes, a few of my friends have a knack for it. They can crack a joke at just the right moment and crack everyone up. It’s a great way to lighten the mood when we’re studying or just hanging out. I’m grateful to have funny people around me.
3. Do you like to watch comedies?
Yes, I went to a stand-up comedy show last year and it was a blast. The energy in the room was amazing and the comedian interacted with the audience which made it feel really personal. Watching a live show is completely different from watching a recorded one, you know. I’d love to go again sometime
4. Have you ever watched a live show?
No, I haven’t. I’ve never been to a live show in person, but I’ve watched the clips of live shows while scrolling through short videos on social media. It’s not the same as being there, but at least I can still get a sense of the atmosphere and the performance.

1. Are you good at telling jokes?
To be honest, I wouldn’t say I do that a lot. But if the timing is right and I’m with people I’m comfortable around then I can come up with pretty good jokes or video comments. I think a lot of humor is more about reading the room rather than trying too hard to be funny.
2. Do your friends like to tell jokes?
Yes, definitely. Most of my friends have a great sense of humor. They’re always like cracking jokes when we hang out uh, even during stressful period like exam season or something like that. They always manage to lighten the mood and make everyone laugh.
3. Do you like to watch comedies?
Well, absolutely I’m a huge fan of comedy shows because they can help me unwind after a long day and take my mind off stress. I especially enjoy stand-up comedies because they’re more spontaneous and relatable. I think a good comedian can always make ordinary stories incredibly entertaining.
4. Have you ever watched a live show?
Yeah, it’s quite a few actually. The most recent one was when I was in shanghai in march and I watched frankie’s show at spicy comedy. It’s quite famous actually and The atmosphere was just absolutely amazing. I mean hearing people laughing together made the whole experience even more memorable than just watching online videos.

1. Are you good at telling jokes?
Of course I do. I do have a great sense of humor because sometimes in my spare time, I always like to scroll through some TikTok videos. So in our conversation, I always like to add some online memes. But the frustrating part is some of my friends, they are still living under the cave, they’re under the rock. So sometimes I do find I even need to explain why this joke is a joke and I need to share with them the context. So I think this kind of process of explanation always takes the fun right out.
2. Do your friends like to tell jokes?
Yes, I should describe me and some of my friends as the birds of a feather. So for example, when I start up a joke and my friends just chime in with something that makes it even funnier. We just have the kind of very weird, but the kind of magical, I mean, the chemistry. I think that’s the reason why we are friends.
3. Do you like to watch comedies?
Not really, I should say, especially for the Chinese comedy, the movie industry, because sometimes I always find these jokes are very cheap jokes. I mean, they always like to grab a bunch of the dirty jokes. I mean, the sex related. So when I’m sitting in the cinema, I always find it a little bit embarrassing and sometimes even more, you know, disrespectful.
4. Have you ever watched a live show?
That was back to like last year in June or July. I can’t still remember it very clearly. My friend dragged me to watch a show named The Six, which told a story about the six wives and a hearing aid. I should say that performance was really once in a lifetime experience for me. The performance was very, you know, the stunning and incredible and impressive. During the whole two hours, I didn’t even hear one time of, you know, one sound out of tune or like a single out of tone.
